◼️ Bellerín wasn’t called at the last minute to face AC Milan as a precaution and joins the injured list with Monreal and Lacazette.
Hector Bellerin had to visit the hospital to undergo tests of a knee ligament injury, confirmed Arsene Wenger, which leaves him out of the game against Milan for the European League eighth.
The Spanish winger played every minute of the Gunners campaign in the Premier League until he was not included in the starting lineup for Sunday’s 2-1 defeat in the Premier League against Brighton.
“No, he’s hurt”, Wenger told a news conference when asked if Bellerin would appear at San Siro on Thursday. “He has inflammation in his left knee, some ligament damage, he had to spend the afternoon in the hospital to see why he has so much pain, it’s not a long-term thing”, he added.
Arsenal will also be without Nacho Monreal and Alexandre Lacazette against AC Milan, although they have no other concerns about injuries. “Apart from that, of course, Lacazette is not ready and we also had to leave Monreal out, he started a small training session but he’s not ready”, said the coach.
