◼️ Zeke Upshaw, guard of the Grands Rapids Drive, died in a hospital after falling collapsed in the field on the end of the encounter before Long Island Nets.
Zeke Upshaw, player of the Great Rapids Drive, died after suffering a cardiac arrest during the match against the Logn Island Nets, corresponding to day 50 of the G-Laegue. The 26-year-old was immediately treated by the medical services and transferred to the nearest hospital, where he eventually lost his life.
Immediately after the death, the NBA’s Detroit Pistons affiliate posted a statement on their official Twitter account in support of Upshaw’s family: “The Rapids Drive family is mourning the tragic loss of Zeke Upshaw. He had a warm personality and was a great emblem for us, both on and off the field, and our condolences to all the family and friends of Zeke. “
