◼️ The German, who wore the green jacket on two ocassions, is confident that the former world number 1 can claim the first Major of the season.
Bernhard Langer, a two-time winner of the Augusta Masters, thinks that Tiger Woods can win the first Major of the season for the fifth time in his career as long as he can “successfully fight some demons in his head”.
The 60-year-old German saw the recovery of the former number 1 in the world in the last six weeks and believes he is ready to put on his green jacket again.
“I think he can (win it), he’ll have to fight some demons in his head, we all do it … I think he’s capable of doing it”, Langer said on Fox Sports Asia.
Woods is one of the favorites to win the Augusta crown after finishing 12th, tying for second place and finishing fifth in his last three PGA Tour events. In that sense, Langer is delighted to see the 42-year-old come back in form that overcame injuries.
“It’s great to have him back, he seems healthy again. We all know what he can do with a putter. He won four times here, so he must be one of the favorites. “
Tiger opens this Thursday in Augusta along with Englishman Tommy Fleetwood and Australian Marc Leishman.
