◼️ The Houston Rockets had a hard time with the Timberwolves, but Harden showed up and delivered his second best playoff performance ever.
James Harden scored 44 points, 4 rebound and 8 assists to lead the Houston squad to a victory in game 1 of the NBA Playoffs against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The game was closer than expected with an impressive performance by Derrick Rose and Andrew Wiggins.
The Houston Rockets showed some playoffs inexperience losing the ball at the end giving the Wolves a chance to tie the game and/or win it. Chris Paul scored 14 points and had only 4 assists. Again struggling when having to show up for his team in the playoffs. Clint Capela had a great day with 25 points and 12 rebounds, when Harden missed he was there to tap it back in again and again.
You can’t say if it’s bad coaching or bad performances by the rest of the team, but the Rockets didn’t look like a championship team tonight. They struggled in the defense and executing in the offense. Even though they won the game, things didn’t look as good as expected from us the viewers.
We hope we can see this team at their full potential and give the Wolves a hard time in the games to come. If they want to be champions, they have to change either their tactics or coaching strategies, because next up is OKC (probably) and they will take advantage of any mistakes made during the game. For now, Rockets lead 1-0 and it looks like we will have a promising and entertaining series.
