Without Stephen Curry, The Warriors Crushed The Spurs In The First Playoffs Game

The defending champions did not miss Stephen Curry at the start of the postseason. Klay Thompson shone on the court and led the Golden State Warriors to a 113-92 victory over the San Antonio Spurs in Game 1 of the Playoff Round Series.

Thompson was almost perfect in field goals to score 11 of 13 to score 27 points. He made five triples and did not miss the absence of Curry, who suffers an injury in the left knee and return to the Conference Semifinals, in case the Warriors advance.

Kevin Durant contributed 24 points, eight rebounds and seven assists for a Warriors who had the luxury of closing the game with substitutes, due to the wide advantage they got with respect to the Spurs.

For the Spurs it was just the second loss by 20 points or more in the postseason since Gregg Popovich (1996). In addition, it is the most bulky in a Playoff opening game in the era of Pop as the team coach.

The second game of the series will be played on Monday at the Oracle Arena of the Warriors.
