Novak Djokovic had flashes of what was his best level but fell on Thursday against the Austrian Dominic Thiem in the semifinals of the Monte Carlo Masters 1000.
Nole started the match hard, winning the first set 7-6; however, in front of him he had a rival at a better time who went around the game and stayed with the next two sets and the game, by markers of 6-2 and 6-3.
With this, Dominic Thiem, number seven in the ranking of the ATP, will play the quarterfinal match of the tournament with who wins the match between Rafael Nadal and Karen Khachanov.
Meanwhile, in the other disputed duel, the Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov beat the German Philipp Kohlschreiber by a score of 4-6, 6-3 and 6-4, so he will face the Belgian David Goffin in the quarterfinals.
