Arsenal confirmed Wednesday that Una Emery, former coach of Sevilla and PSG will be the successor of Arsene Wenger. The 46-year-old will have the mission of getting the Gunner club back to a Champions League and, incidentally, fight for the Premier League title, something he has not achieved for 14 years.

The appointment of Emery as a meaningful coach and indicates how the new man will be aligned within a football structure that includes the recruitment of Sven Mislintat and Raül Sanllehí as head of public relations.
“Unai has an excellent track record, has developed some of the best young talents in Europe and plays an exciting and progressive style of football that fits perfectly with us,” said Ivan Gazidis, the club’s sporting director.
“His passionate and hardworking approach and his sense of values within and outside the field make him the ideal person to take us forward,” added the executive. Emery will start the splice and visualize what he will need for next season.
