◼️ The Liverpool striker was in doubt after suffering a shoulder injury in the Champions League Final.
Liverpool star Mohamed Salah, injured in the Champions League Final 9 days ago, is on Egypt’s final list of 23 players for the 2018 World Cup, the Egyptian Football Federation announced on Monday.
Salah, whose participation in the World Cup was in doubt due to a shoulder problem after a fall along with Sergio Ramos in the 3-1 loss to Real Madrid, will be three weeks out.
If he completes the three weeks of leave, Salah would be available on June 17, while Egypt debuts on 15 against Uruguay in a group A, group in which he plays on the 19th against Russia and Saudi Arabia on the 25th.
The federation said on Monday that Salah, author of 44 goals with Liverpool this season, began his recovery in Valencia (Spain). Egypt has not contested the World Cup for 28 years when it participated in Italy in 1990.
