◼️ Despite the debacle at the World Cup in Russia, the coach will remain as head of the Mannschaft.
Joachim Löw will continue as coach of Germany until 2022 despite the debacle of the German team at the World Cup in Russia, according to the DFB on Tuesday.
The Mannschaft was last of Group F, where it was paired with Sweden, Mexico, and South Korea, after only achieving a victory against the Europeans.
“I am very grateful for the confidence that the DFB continues to place in me,” Joachim Löw said in a press release from the Association, adding that the disappointment of premature elimination in Russia is “still enormous.”
Löw now wants to reconstruct the national team: “I will analyze it together with my team, lead debates and draw the right conclusions for the start of the new season, all this takes time,” said the 58-year-old coach.
