What was spoken not only in Spain but in Moscow was confirmed on Monday: Luis Enrique is the new coach of the European Red and will be in charge during the next two seasons. As explained by Luis Rubiales, president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation, the ex-Barcelona will not have a rescission clause and will begin work immediately.
The Asturian coach will be the relief of Fernando Hierro, who had to resume in a hurry the work of Julen Lopetegui, dismissed by the Federation just before the first game of the World Cup. The technician fought for the position with Quique Sánchez-Flores, Míchel Salgado, among others.
Recall that Luis Enrique Martinez has experience as a coach in the ranks of Barcelona, Celta and Rome. His most successful stage in the bench was as Barça, club in which he won nine titles, six national and three international.
