British Golfer Confesses To Play With A ‘Hangover’ At The Open

◼️ A curious story for the Englishman Eddie Pepperell, who on Sunday finished sixth at the British Open despite having a drink on Saturday.

He didn’t win the British Open, but he wasn’t far from it despite playing the last round with a hangover due to a night of drinking on Saturday. That’s how Eddie Pepperell starred in one of the most curious stories of the weekend in one of the Majors of golf.

The English golfer confessed this Sunday at the end of his participation that he was suffering from a hangover since the previous night he went out partying, although this didn’t stop him from signing a fourth round of 67 strokes, five under par.

With 27 years of age, the golfer made five birdies to finish in the sixth position (tied with the legendary Tiger Woods) of the British Open, the third of four golf Majors that are played annually.

The British Open Champion was the Italian Francesco Molinari, the first man of that nationality to win one of the four major golf events.
