Steelers Defeat The Superbowl Champions In Preseason Game

◼️ Both Pittsburgh and Philadelphia played with many substitutes at the start of the preseason for both teams.

The Pittsburgh Steelers kicked off their preseason with a 31-14 victory over the defending Champions, Philadelphia Eagles, although coach Doug Pederson rested many of his starters and thus the team was nothing like the one that faced the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII.

Pittsburgh also did not present its best weapons. Ben Roethlisberger and Antonio Brown rested, while Le’Veon Bell has not yet signed his franchise tag.

On the side of the Champions, quarterbacks Carson Wentz and Nick Foles, Super Bowl MVP LII, saw no action.

The Steelers’ offense was carried out by Landry Jones, Josh Dobbs and Mason Rudolph. The first two connected touchdown passes and the rookie completed seven of 12 passes for 101 yards.

Regarding the national anthem ceremony, safet Malcolm Jenkins and cornerback De’Vante Bausby, both from Philadelphia, raised their fists while it sounded.
