Real Madrid Looking To Win Their 5th UEFA Super Cup

◼️ The white squad hopes to equal FC Barcelona and AC Milan, the top winning clubs of this event.

Julen Lopetegui wants to start with a title this 2018/19 season. A crown, the European Supercup, that would allow the whites to equal the record that Barcelona and Milan have in this competition.

At the moment, the Spanish capital team has managed to stay with this European tournament four times and three of them in the last four years: in 2014 they defeated Sevilla in Cardiff, in 2016 they beat the same rival in Trondheim, and in 2017 they beat Manchester United in Skopje. Their first trophy in this contest was achieved in 2002 when they defeated Feyenoord in Monaco.

In that sense, Madrid will try to reach their fifth title in order to equal the Blaugrana squad and the Italian club, who command this list with that amount of trophies. In addition, Real Madrid disputed the 1998 and 2000 editions, when they fell to Chelsea and Galatasaray, respectively.

Recall that the White House does not lose an international final since 2000 when they fell 2-1 against Boca Juniors in the final of the Intercontinental. Since then they have won 13 consecutive finals.
