Andy Murray Drops Out Of Beijing And Puts An End To His Disappointing Season

◼️ The Scottish tennis player announced his retirement from the next tournament after being eliminated by Fernando Verdasco in Quarterfinals in Wuhan.

Former World No. 1 Andy Murray, who had planned to play the Beijing Tournament next week, declared himself unfit for that tournament and finally decided to end his season, several British media reported.

“I need to spend more time training and in the gym to be stronger and in better shape,” said Murray, 311st in the world, after losing against Verdasco.

Murray suffers a sore ankle after his quarterfinal match in Wuhan that he lost to Spaniard Fernando Verdasco this Friday.

The three-time winner of a Grand Slam tournament, which returned to the competition at the beginning of the European summer after a year of absence due to a hip operation, will close the season with six disputed tournaments.
