The Patriots Defeat The Chiefs In EPIC 83 Point Game On Sunday Night Football

◼️ Tom Brady and Sony Michel left the Rams as the only unbeaten team in the NFL.

Tom Brady faced Patrick Mahomes in what seemed like a generational relay. But the experienced quarterback won the battle to the young sensation and incidentally took the undefeated status away from Kansas City Chiefs in a heart-pounding game that ended 40-43 in favor of the New England Patriots.

The Patriots took a 24-9 lead against the Chiefs to the locker room. Since the Brady era started in 2001, they are 95-1 in the regular season at home when leading at the half. New England’s only loss was ironically to the Chiefs last season.

The Patriots took down the undefeated Chiefs, 43-40 on a Gostkowski game-winning field goal. This season, there have been 3 games where both teams scored 40 or more points. From 2014 to 2017, there were only 2. Also, Tom Brady became the only player in NFL’s history to win 200 regular season games.

Mahomes and his Chiefs had an uncomfortable start to the game, with a half-time score of 9-24 and two interceptions in a row from the young QB. They managed to recover for the second half, but experience took charge over the new football sensation.

Brady even had a rushing TD, as a sign that he would not give anything to Kansas City, let alone the best passer in the league status to Mahomes … yet.

TB12 threw for 340 yards and a touchdown, in addition to not suffering any interception to command a victory that wouldn’t have been possible without the contribution of rookie runner Sony Michel, who carried the ball for 106 yards and two touchdowns.

Mahomes suffered his first defeat this season, to a large extent, after his erratic start to the match. He finished with 352 yards, four TDs, and two interceptions, but it wasn’t enough to defeat one of the greatest dynasties in sports’ history.
