◼️Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov will be suspended at least for the rest of 2018 after the brawl outside the octagon at the end of UFC 229.
UFC fighters Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor will be suspended until December due to a brawl that took place inside and outside the octagon after their fight on October 6th.
Neither the Russian nor the Irish attended a brief hearing in Las Vegas in which Nurmagomedov was cataloged as the catalyst for “chaos”, although the Nevada Athletic Commission allowed on Wednesday that a cash prize be given to the Light Weight Champion.
The president of the Commission, Anthony Marnell III, said the suspensions will last until an investigation is completed and that fines and punishment, including up to a lifetime ban, could be considered.
Fighters who starred in UFC 229 will be suspended temporarily until a hearing is held on October 24 and must attend a disciplinary hearing on December 10.
Nurmagomedov jumped the cage fence to exchange blows with the McGregor team after beating the Irishman.
