◼️ Allen Iverson doesn’t believe that Carmelo Anthony should retire and declares himself an advocate for his friend in the situation he is going through.
Allen Iverson hasn’t been someone who had it especially easy in the NBA. Both in sports and personal, ‘The Answer’ was on everyone’s lips throughout his career and was criticized in a few moments. For that reason, he knows what his friend and former teammate in the Denver Nuggets Carmelo Anthony has been going through nowadays, with no team and without finishing his place in any franchise. Of course, AI doesn’t want to hear about the possibility that Melo must retire (“or even talk about it”).
As former teammate and good friend Carmelo Anthony contemplates NBA future, Allen Iverson tells ‘The Athletic NBA’:
“No way Melo should retire. I definitely think he should keep going. He got a lot left in the tank, man. It’s just got to be the right situation.” pic.twitter.com/m8dYOEPc9d

It took just ten games for the Rockets to let go of the All-Star forward that they acquired this summer. The 34-year-old Anthony has seen his numbers drastically dip this season, playing the fewest minutes of his career while having career-lows in field goal attempts, points, rebounds, and assists per game.
