Construction of her house in Barisal is underway, says UNO
Meritorious college student Aspiya Islam Kajal has finally got the desired job as a trainee recruit constable of Bangladesh Police, after a long struggle.
On Saturday night, Barisal’s Hijla police station Officer-in-Charge Mizanur Rahman handed over the appointment letter, signed by Superintendent of Police Maruf Hossain, to Aspiya.
Confirming the matter, SP Maruf Hossain said that Aspiya had got the job under district quota.
Meanwhile, construction of the house gifted by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for Aspiya and her family members will be completed soon, according to UNO Bakul Chandra Kabiraj.

An overjoyed Aspiya has thanked the prime minister and the media for helping her get the dream job.
OC Mizanur said: “Aspiya and other recruits have been asked to be present at the Distinct Police Lines at 10am on Tuesday. Later they will be sent to Rangpur on six-month training after completing procedures at Sardah Police Academy.”
Aspiya applied for the constable post after completing HSC in 2020. She became fifth in the recruitment test but was denied the job for not having a permanent address in Barisal district.
