India is set to deploy Russian-made S-400 missiles along the border with China.

According to the Hindustan Times, a state-of-the-art air defense system will be used along the country’s Ladakh and Arunachal borders.

According to Indian Defense Ministry sources, it has been decided to deploy two S-400s imported from Russia to the LoC in the north and northeast early next year.

The country’s defense experts believe that with the deployment of the S-400 under the control of the Indian Army’s Air Defense Regiment, New Delhi will be able to compete with Beijing on the balance of power in the Line of Actual Control (LAC). Not only missiles, this technology can also destroy enemy aircraft and drones.

The S-400 first joined the Russian army in 2006. Delhi contacted Moscow in 2014 to purchase the anti-missile system.
