Canelo Is Suspended And The Rematch Against Golovkin Is In Danger

◼️ Alvarez tested positive for the banned substance clenbuterol twice, which is why the Nevada State Athletic Commission suspended him by appointment on April 10, one month before a new fight against Kazakh.

The second confrontation between Canelo Alvarez and Gennady Golovkin is in grave danger. The Nevada State Athletic Commission temporarily suspended Canelo after two positive tests of the banned substance clenbuterol.

Golden Boy Promotions avoided coming into conflict with the Commission’s decision, of those who said they had a lot of respect.

“We respect the process of the Nevada State Athletic Commission (NSAC) and will vigorously present the case of Canelo Alvarez” ,Golden Boy Promotions said in a statement. And he added: “Canelo Alvarez’s tests have always been negative during his career and in more than 90 exams, and he would never intentionally take a prohibited substance.”
