◼️ The Houston Astros, current major league champion, defeated Baltimore 6-1 to win their first home game since lifting the trophy in the World Series.
The bases loaded and not precisely for the rival to face. Yes for the pennant on the side of Minute Maid Park, for the first time of the Astros, as champions of the Major Leagues, playing before their people, in their stadium. The Orioles were opponents in turn, who suffered the excitement of the moment to fall by 6-1 in a game that was very emotional for the great achievement of last season.
Just in the bottom of the first inning, Houston went ahead on the scoreboard with a George Springer run. On the mound, Charlie Morton was impeccable in controlling the visiting offense and allowing only three hits against the six men he left out in the six innings he threw.
Marvin Gonzalez also contributed to the offense with a home run in the fourth inning that allowed three touchdowns. Jose Altuve also appeared and with a double towed the other races for the final 6-1 in a perfect day for the ninth that leads the Western Division of the American League.
